Urban Guerillas

Rebel Urban Guerillas are one of the common branches of the Rebel Alliance's SpecForces. They place emphasis on making do with whatever materials that are on hand. As their name implies, Rebel Urban Guerillas use hit-and-run tactics. They also conduct sniper attacks from rooftops and use dark alleys to lob home-made explosives at their targets, after which they escape to a new position before enemy troops can pin them down.

Rebel Urban Guerillas are experts in exploiting the confines of constricted urban terrain to their advantage, such as the streets, buildings, and sewers. Thus due to their capabilities, they are able to engage enemy troops that outnumber them by several times. Rebel Guerilla cells have been the nemesis of many Imperial Governors, spreading insurrection and revolt wherever they travel. Unfortunately, the Rebels have effectively used their Urban Guerillas to initiate uprisings on many worlds under Imperial control. The Urban Guerillas are transported to the targeted planet, from which they begin recruitment and training of the local inhabitants. They lead the locals in combat until they are capable of taking over the operations themselves.

Infiltrators

Rebel Infiltrators are the Rebel Alliance's elite commandos and are the eyes and ears of the Rebels' SpecForces. They are trained to slip through the enemy's lines in order to create confusion and paralysing fear in secure areas. They are unfortunately able to enter and sabotage even the most heavily guarded Imperial installations. They are masters of stealth, able to foil most mechanical and Human security measures.

Those who fill the ranks of the Rebel Infiltrators are chosen from those in the Rebel Alliance with the most reason to loath the Empire. After the Battle of Hoth and sometime before the Battle of Endor, a traitor, Imperial Colonel Beri Tulon trained the Infiltrators to attach themselves to Imperial vehicles, quickly cut through the weakest point in the armour and get inside the vehicle to seize control of it. With good reason, they are among the most feared of all the Rebel SpecForce troopers.

Troopers

The Rebel Trooper is a Rebel soldier who has dedicated their life to the cause of the Rebellion. Many of these Rebel volunteers do not conform to the "mold", as they have left their former non-military lives to become part of the Rebellion against the Galactic Empire. These troopers can be found stationed on Rebel ships assigned to protect certain important Rebels or to protect Rebel bases. Besides those duties, Rebel Troopers are also used for missions against Imperial Forces

Space Marine Corps

Marine regiments are trained to fight onboard ships, either to repel boarders or to board and take over hostile enemy vessels. Marines receive special training in 0-Gee and space suit/battle armor combat, corridor fighting, hand-to-hand combat, space survival, and some starship repair skills. Marines are typically armed with blaster pistols, rifles, grenades and vibroweapons of many sorts. A platoon might have access to light or medium repeating blasters, but these weapons are generally too indiscriminate, to employ inside a starship. Marines are also sometimes equipped with space suits, when they're available and in need of for certain missions. The Alliance Space Marine Corps is tasked generally with all security matters on Alliance starships, space stations and other naval outposts.
