The Center of Rebel Intelligence has various tasks within the Rebel Alliance. Primarily it monitors all channels of communication to gain more information and also makes sure other information is kept save. It finds intelligence on all important areas of the galaxy; monitoring enemy fleet and army movements, reconnaissance of unknown planetary systems, etc, etc. Secondarily CRI deals with internal security: finding infiltrators, hunting down defectors and checks all new cadets. Furthermore CRI handles rescue missions for enemy defectors, captured allies and downed pilots.

In order to execute these tasks, CRI is broken down into three divisions:

• Counterintelligence

Counterintelligence is responsible for tracking enemy movements and responding to them.

• Infiltration

Infiltrators operate mostly behind enemy lines and disrupt the workings of planets, that have fallen under the government of organizations, hostile to the Rebellion.

• Internal Security

Internal Security is charged with overseeing everything happening inside the Alliance and to identify enemy incursions, or defectors.
